I am writing to recommend Beat the Odds First Aid as a First Aid trainer for any business or
person. Rene’s professionalism and solid training style allow him to cover the scheduled training agenda
with ease, understanding and more.

Having taken first aid for many years with a variety of trainers/companies, Rene provided a simple,
easy-to-understand and logical training session for our staff which they thoroughly enjoyed. His use
of real-life examples which were provided in relation to our business type provided people with real
examples of situations that would directly pertain to them. This left an opportunity for additional
discussion after the training as employees they shared the examples to other staff members in the next
few days.

With his abilities, adaptability, and dedication, Rene will make a great First Aid Trainer for any company.
I have no doubts you will be exceptionally pleased if you hire him.

Jane Garrod-Tivendale, Operations Coordinator, Sharpe Farm Supplies Ltd.

We had a wonderful experience with Rene Ottier of Beat the Odds First Aid.
Our group of 12 was a mix of riders and coaches ranging in age from 13 to 58. Rene was able to keep a
sense of humour while expressing the gravity of the information. This combination kept us all engaged
and alert. Rene’s experience with horses helped us focus on particular areas of risk, and his anecdotes of
horse-related injuries helped to keep everyone’s interest.

We were very happy with the adaptability of the program to our situation. Rene agreed to do the
sessions in our barn (right in the aisle), which was fun and a huge help with scheduling and logistics.
The information was good and the delivery excellent. I would use Rene for any further courses and
recommend him to anyone requiring First Aid Certification.

Thank you so much for the First Aid Training you provided for our instructors & students.
The feedback was all positive and the day flew by. The information you presented was easy to understand
and it was brought to us with enthusiasm & knowledge. You answered all of our questions and gave examples
that everyone could relate to.

The role playing portion was excellent and got all the students involved, I think we all learned a lot
from that exercise. Your method of teaching was admirable and you taught us to go into these situations with
confidence and not be afraid.

The First Aid Guide that you provided to us is a handy tool, we keep it with our 1st Aid Kit and we are
currently looking into purchasing an AED for the dojo.

We are happy to have you back for the Babysitting Course in the fall and to recommend you to others who can
benefit from this course.

Thank you once again,
